accountant or not........?
What would the average fee be to consult over tax returns? Do you pay a monthly fee or just a one off fee? I am letting my house through an agent tomorrow and i need to know what to keep etc... Where is the best place to start for info? Thanks

"How long is a piece of string" - cost will depend on complexity and so on. Payment arrangements also vary, depending on how big your bill is. Basically on your tax return you declare your rental income and then deduct the expenses of running your property letting, including your mortgage interest, letting agent fees, maintenance costs, landlords insurance, and so on. Of course, you don't have to have an accountant to do your tax returns for you.
